Welcome to Glenelg Orthopaedics- Mr Jonathan Middleton
Mr Jonathan (Joff) Middleton grew up in the
"Bay" and has spent most of his life living along the coast with
his wife and family.
He commenced his Glenelg Orthopaedic practice in 1985, and since
2004 he has based his practice in Glenelg, establishing Glenelg
Orthopaedics.
Mr Middleton's areas of special interest include primary and
revision joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee, and
paediatric orthopaedics, but he also provides a consultative
service in all areas of general orthopaedics.
He is registered as a preferred medical provider with private
health funds, which generally means no gap is payable by the
patient for surgical procedures.
Mr Middleton is accredited for Permanent Impairment Assessments
of spine, lower limb and upper limb. He is a Medical
Practitioner eligible to be appointed to a Medical Panel.

Public Hospital Involvement
Mr Middleton has been a Senior Visiting Medical Officer at the
Women's & Children's Hospital since 1982. He has been a
Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon at the South Coast District Hospital
since 1985.
Previous appointments include three years as Head of
Orthopaedics at the Lyell McEwin Health Service, and three years as
a Senior Visiting Medical Officer at the Royal Adelaide
Hospital.
